General Information
The International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) is the sole international body representing
the global rubber industry, with its remit centred largely on the provision of timely
and relevant economic and statistical information to industry stakeholders.
In the area of statistics, the IRSG Secretariat enjoys a rich tradition and has unrivalled
expertise. It is the authoritative source of rubber statistics.
Data on production, consumption, trade and prices – both natural rubber (NR) and synthetic rubber
(SR) – and rubber products are published on a quarterly basis in the Secretariat’s flagship documents,
the Rubber Statistical Bulletin and the Rubber Industry Report. The Secretariat also prepares forecasts
of rubber production and consumption, and undertakes statistical studies, where appropriate, on specific
aspects of the industry.
