General Information
The International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) is the sole international body representing the global rubber industry, with its remit centred largely on the provision of timely and relevant economic and statistical information to governments and industry.
In the area of statistics, the Study Group enjoys a rich tradition and has unrivalled expertise. It is the authoritative source of rubber statistics as supplied by Member Governments, industry and associated statistical bodies.
Data on production, consumption, trade and prices – both natural rubber (NR) and synthetic rubber (SR) – and rubber products are published on a bimonthly basis in the Group’s flagship documents, the Rubber Statistical Bulletin and the Rubber Industry Report. The Group also prepares forecasts of rubber usage and output, and undertakes statistical studies, where appropriate, on specific aspects of the industry.
