Rubber Focus: IRSG Briefing Paper on ‘The Rubber Industry of Russia’ now available from IRSG

19 October 2017

The International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) provides a forum for the discussion of matters affecting the supply and demand for synthetic rubber (SR) and natural rubber (NR). It covers all aspects of the world rubber industry, including marketing, shipping, and distribution, trade in raw materials and the manufacture and sale of rubber goods. The IRSG is the authoritative source of statistical data supplied by Member Governments and other countries and organisations on production, consumption and trade in rubber and rubber goods. It prepares current estimates and forecasts future trends, and undertakes statistical, economic and techno-economic studies on specific aspects of the industry.

The IRSG Secretariat is undertaking a series of briefing papers with each focusing on different rubber-related issues as part of its work programme. This current paper gives an overview of the rubber industry of Russia as well as its downstream tyre and automobile industries in the country. It provides a comprehensive overview and gives forecasts for the following aspects: the economy, the vehicle industry, the tyre industry, rubber consumption by end-user, synthetic rubber production and international trade in rubber.

This briefing paper is now available to members from the IRSG.
