World Rubber Summit 2017 First Press Release

The World Rubber Summit (WRS) 2017 is jointly organised by the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) and SingEx Exhibitions, as a key event of "World Rubber Week", to be held on 22-23 March 2017 in Singapore. Designed to address broader, strategic policy led issues which impact the rubber industry, the Summit will address the core issues facing the rubber industry. The WRS will be combined with the IRSG’s inter-government and industry meetings.

Strongly supported by IE, Singapore, this Summit will examine how professionals in the rubber industry are adjusting to the rapidly changing world economy and new global paradigms that may impact the rubber industry.

The theme of WRS 2017 “Orderly Growth for a Healthy Industry”. During the conference, Presentations and Panel Sessions will feature discussions on topics on global economy growth, tyre industry’s strategic outlook, synthetic rubber market dynamics, future of the dipped goods industry, Climate Smart Agriculture, smallholder risk management, pricing transparency plus ongoing consolidation of the natural rubber value chain.

Together with the conference it will provide an ideal platform for high level Buyer-Seller meetings. There will be a Cocktail Reception that will offer the ultimate international networking opportunities.

Prominent business leaders, policy makers and consultants have been invited to speak at the conference, including major rubber and tyre producers, international rubber organisations, SGX, other commodity exchanges, LMC, Tyre Industry Research and Government representatives.
